This Week at the Atelier
This week leads towards an important moment in Richard Jändel’s creative journey. On 3 October 2026, Richard’s thirty-year anniversary of storytelling will be celebrated in Göteborg.
Thirty years represents more than a numerical milestone. It represents accumulated experience, an evolving body of work and the continuing relationship between a creator and the audiences who encounter that work.
For the Atelier, the occasion provides a natural point of reflection on sustained creative practice and on the value of allowing a body of work to develop over time.
Work in Progress
Richard’s work remains part of the Atelier’s publishing programme, including the developing Oscar Dillington project.
The first Oscar Dillington release has been postponed. The publication process therefore continues independently of the anniversary celebration, allowing the book to develop according to its own requirements rather than being tied to the anniversary timetable.
That separation is useful. A career milestone can be recognised on its own terms without requiring every associated project to conform to the same schedule.
Developments & Milestones
The 3 October celebration provides an opportunity to recognise Richard’s thirty years of storytelling and the creative journey represented by that period.
The event is not simply a commercial launch. It is a moment of recognition and reflection around a substantial period of creative practice.
For Jacob & Elliot Atelier Studios, the occasion reinforces a central principle: authorship has a history. Representation and publishing should recognise that history rather than treating each new project as though it exists in isolation.
Looking Ahead
The anniversary provides a point from which to look forward. After the celebration, attention will return to the continuing development of Richard’s work and to the projects still taking shape.
Milestones matter because they allow us to pause. They should not, however, become endpoints.
